Listening to FM/AM

  1. Press [RADIO] button on the head unit.
  2. Press [Band] > [FM] or [AM] on the screen.

  1. The FM/AM screen of the most recent listened frequency is displayed.

,Note

Each time [RADIO] button on the head unit is pressed, the mode is changed in the order FM > AM > FM.

Manual tuning

Press [a]/[d] on the FM/AM screen. The frequency moves up and down accordingly.

Favourites tuning

Press [Favourites] on the FM/AM screen.

Or press the favourites numbers of the desired broadcast station.

,Note

  • FM broadcasts are transmitted at high frequencies and do not bend following the earth’s surface. Because of this, FM broadcasts generally begin to fade at short distances from the station.
    Also, FM signals are easily affected by buildings, mountains or other obstructions. These can result in undesirable listening conditions and show wrong information (ex. RDS PS NAME, etc.), which might lead you to believe a problem exists with your radio. The following conditions are normal and do not indicate radio trouble.
  • When the signal is weak, FM noise is generated.

Scan

This function scans all stations and plays only stations with good signal strength for 5 seconds each.

Press [5_RADIO_ICON_SCAN.png] on the FM/AM screen.

Press [5_RADIO_ICON_SCAN.png] again to stop the scan function.

,Note

When the scan is operating, pressing the [a]/[d] will stop the function and remain on the stopped frequency.

Opening the FM/AM station list

FM station list

You can see the station list with superior reception.

Press [List] on the FM screen.

Press [Station] or [Programme type] to arrange the list in station or programme type order.

AM station list

You can see the station list with superior reception.

Press [List] on the AM screen.

Auto search

This function lets you automatically search the broadcast stations with superior reception.

  1. Press the desired broadcast station.
  2. Press [List] > [Refresh] on the AM screen.

Saving FM/AM favourites

It saves the listening station to the desired favourites list.

  1. Select the desired frequency.
  2. Press [Favourites] on the FM/AM screen.

  1. Press the desired favourites station or [2].

If you want to overwrite an existing favourites, press and hold the respective favourites station.

,Note

  • If you want to saving an favourites, press [K] or [Press and hold 2] on the FM/AM screen.
  • When the frequency is saved on a preset of which another frequency has already been saved, the previously saved frequency is erased.

Deleting FM/AM favourites

This function delete the frequency saved to FM/AM presets.

  1. Press [Menu] > [Delete Favourites] on the FM/AM screen.

  1. Select the desired item(s), then press [Delete] > [Yes].

,Note

If you want to delete an existing favourites, press [K] > [Yes] on the FM/AM screen.

Set number of favourites

This feature allows you to set the number of favourites.

You can set a maximum of 40 to a minimum of 10.

  1. Press [Menu] > [Set number of favourites] on the FM/AM screen.
